Classroom Decor Ideas

Hi Blog Hoppers!  It's Erica Bohrer here from Erica's Ed-Ventures to bring you a variety of classroom decor ideas!

If you follow classroom bloggers, you will notice a trend: brights with black!   My classroom follows that trend.  I happen to love the way the brights pop agains the black.  It is also very easy to find black storage bins and other items.  Here are some photos of my classroom and links to other classroom decor inspiration by our talented Blog Hoppin' authors.

What works for me: labeling everything, sticking with a few bright colors, throwing in some polka dots, and tying it all together wit black.

This classroom takes me an average of three weeks of elbow grease,  hours on my computer, laminating sheets,  a fabulous laser printer, a fabulous paper cutter, hot glue, bulletin board paper, borders, and a lot of black paint!  You can read about the process {HERE}.

Here are photos of my classroom, if you are looking for the source of the decor packet utilized, click on the photo itself:

I like to label everything!  This creates a print rich environment and fosters independence.

I also added a ribbon border to my book display.  I purchased the ribbon from Michaels.

The polka dot lanterns are from Amazon.

The lime green pom-poms and mini-daisy above are also from School Girl Style's shop.

I made a lunch menu holder out of a picture mat, page protector, tape, and velcro.  I love how clean it looks hanging on the cabinet door.

The table caddy above was a utensil organizer from CVS.  I added ribbon from Michaels and my shrunk, cut, and laminated table signs.
For more info on the drawers, hop over to {THIS} post.

I used polka dot fabric and a staple gun to recover this chair.

I found black pocket charts from Scholastic!!   I used ribbon to tie them to the ends of my pocket chart.  I did this because 1. It looks pretty.  and 2. The pocket chart was wider than my stand.

I hope my photos gave you some inspiration!  For more inspiration, check out these amazing posts by our talented Blog Hoppin' Authors:
